From January 2026, the Australian Government’s 3-Day Guarantee will ensure all eligible families receive at least 72 hours (3 days) of subsidised early education and care per fortnight, regardless of work or study hours.

• Guarantees 72 subsidised hours per fortnight for every CCS eligible child.
• Replaces activity-based limits to provide fairer, more consistent access.
• Families earning under $533,280 per year and eligible for CCS qualify.
• Families with 48+ hours of recognised activity can still receive up to 100 hours.
• First Nations children automatically receive 100 hours.
